The tips of my fingers on my left hand are sore from my first guitar lesson. It is a testament to Padma's skills as a teacher that I have successfully learned three chords. I'm not exactly sure what inspired me to request a lesson in the first place, but I like to learn to do the things that my friends love to do, so that must have something to do with it. And you know what else? It was fun, especially when Padma played along, sometimes improvising a little solo while I painstakingly stuck to my three little chords. Playing the guitar wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Maybe I should take up bass since there clearly isn't any room for a piano or even a keyboard in our tiny little apartment.
