Whenever I'm out late, my love always leaves the light on for me. I'm noting that now so that the memory will be preserved for me, so that years later when I'm hungrily reviewing the archives in an attempt to rediscover who I once was, I'll remember that small detail and smile.

great idea! i wish i'd done that since, as you know, i can't remember the details anymore. (except for the ones with my ex that is an alcoholic. when i finally left him for the final time, i made sure i memorized what it was like to be with him so that i would not be tempted back...again.)
